MARWEN INGENIERIA DEVELOPS A CAMPAIGN ON PROVINCIAL SUSTAINABILITY IN URBAN MOBILITY

The campaign was designed and developed by MARWEN ENGINEERING and its main objective is to promote healthier modes of transport, pedestrian mobility, the use of non-motorized vehicles and public transport, to raise awareness of the environmental consequences associated with the use of indiscriminate means of transport pollution, to identify techniques to improve urban mobility and to encourage energy saving in transport.
It is a province-wide campaign, coordinated by the Exma. Diputación de Jaén and co-financed by the Andalusian Energy Agency. It was developed in 11 municipalities of Jaén, such as Alcalá la Real, Baeza, La Carolina…
The implementation of this project was carried out interactively, explaining the problems caused by excessive use of transport and the benefits arising from the rationalized use of private vehicles and the use of other more sustainable modes of transport, such as cycling, public transport or walk.
One part of the campaign was a technical workshop on sustainable urban mobility in each of the 11 participating municipalities. During this workshop recyclable material was delivered to students, an introduction on urban mobility in the municipality was made by an expert of MARWEN INGENIERIA and furthermore a mobile workshop, where he raised an analysis of improvements in the municipality.
According to Eva Cano, responsible for the campaign of MARWEN INGENIERIA, "through the help of these activities the interest of the public for good practice and the awareness in the use of transportation and use thereof is expected to raise."
