The Covenant of Mayors, initiative of the European Commission”, is a tool created in order to promote the sustainable development of cities and municipalities, with what the mayors commit reducing the CO 2 emissions of more than 20% until 2020.

MARWEN Ingeniería contributes its experience in energy efficiency and sustainability to the design of the so called “Action Plan of Sustainable Energy” (PAES) which the mayors have to give in in the course of one year after the signature of the Covenant. MARWEN is charged with the realization of a pre-audit and designs the Action Plan, analyzing the measurements conducive to the reduction of CO 2 emissions in the municipality, in sectors like mobility and transport, illumination, energy management, edification and urbanism.

MARWEN also is charged with the elaboration of the inventory of emissions and with the indicators of climate change, initial point for the elaboration of the PAES.
